The Israeli army admitted that a senior commander of the Logistics Support Battalion was killed by the Palestinian resistance in Gaza on Saturday.

A few hours after the first announcement, the occupying army admitted killing a soldier from the same unit.

The circumstances of their deaths were announced today by the Al-Quds Brigades in a statement. “Both soldiers whose deaths were announced today were killed after Saraya Al-Quds fighters detonated explosives under their vehicle on the outskirts of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City.”

Israeli news sources also reported that 11 Israeli soldiers were injured in a “major security incident” in Gaza, but did not provide further details.

Al-Qassam Brigades (Hamas)

“Al-Qassam fighters detonated two anti-personnel explosive devices in two jeeps of the enemy forces and attacked the remaining soldiers with machine guns, killing and wounding them. This happened near the University College in the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood in the south of Gaza City. Our fighters observed the landing of evacuation helicopters.

“WATCH: Al-Qassam Brigades attack enemy concentrations east of the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Younis.

“Notes:

1:06 – “We say to Netanyahu and also to Gallant, your reconnaissance planes are useless. I am working under reconnaissance and none of this makes any difference to us. O Allah, for Your sake and to seek Your pleasure.”

Al-Quds Brigades (Islamic Jihad)

“We bombed the Re'im military base with a missile attack.

“Our fighters are involved in fierce clashes with Zionist enemy soldiers on the advance routes east of the Al-Qarara area, north of the city of Khan Younis.

“We detonated a prepared, high-yield ground explosive device against a Zionist military vehicle that had entered the vicinity of the Alyeen Mosque in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood east of Gaza City.

“The Zionist army officially acknowledges the death of a second officer during fighting with the Palestinian resistance in the central Gaza Strip. Both soldiers, whose deaths were announced today, were killed after Saraya Al-Quds fighters detonated explosives under their vehicle on the outskirts of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood east of Gaza City.”

Hezbollah

“In response to the Israeli enemy's attacks on the steadfast villages and safe houses in the south, especially in the city of Al-Kfour, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of Syrian civilians, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance included the settlement of Ayelet HaShahar in their fire plan on Saturday, 17/08/2024, and bombarded it for the first time with a salvo of Katyusha rockets.

“On Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 11:15 a.m., the fighters of the Islamic Resistance attacked a position of enemy soldiers at the Marj site with two attack drones, hitting them directly and causing several deaths and injuries.

“Islamic Resistance fighters targeted the Samaqa site in the occupied Lebanese hills of Kfar Shuba with rocket weapons on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., hitting it directly.

“The fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted and directly hit the Ruwaisat Al-Alam site in the occupied Lebanese hills of Kfar Shuba with artillery shells on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.

“The fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted the Hadab Yaroun site with artillery shells on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 5:20 p.m. and hit it directly.

“The fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted the spy equipment at the Jal Al-Alam site with attack drones on Saturday, August 17, 2024, hitting it and destroying it.

“The fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted and directly hit a gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers in the Shtula Forest with artillery shells on Saturday, August 17, 2024.”
