Trump blames Harris' “radical liberal policies” for inflation at rally in Pennsylvania

Former President Donald Trump held a rally in the swing state of Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Trump criticized the “radical liberal policies” of Vice President Kamala Harris before a crowd of supporters at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre Township, which he said had “caused horrific inflation.”

“And you know what I'm talking about because everyone in this room is devastated by what they've done,” Trump told the crowd. “They have no idea, they're completely incompetent people. Real incomes have gone down over $2,000 a year. Remember, at least, and ours are five times that, more than five times that. Their price increases have cost a typical household a total of $28,000, and that's called the Kamala Harris inflation tax. She was on board with everything.”

Trump's remarks come a day after Harris outlined her economic policy proposals.

And they came a week after polls from the New York Times and Siena College showed Harris leading Trump by the “blue wall” in the swing states of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan.

Additional Times/Siena polls released Saturday showed Harris intensifying competition in the Sun Belt swing states.

But a new poll released earlier this week by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found Trump ahead on two key issues: the economy and immigration.

According to the AP-NORC poll, 45 percent trust Trump more on economic issues, compared to 38 percent for Harris.

Harris also plans to campaign this weekend in Pennsylvania, the swing state where most of the electoral votes are up for grabs this fall.
