This famous golf course in Wisconsin will host three USGA events in the future

Other national golf competitions take place at Whistling Straits.

The United States Golf Association announced Tuesday that the links course in Kohler will host three more events: the 2028 U.S. Amateur, the 2033 U.S. Junior Amateur and the 2037 U.S. Girls' Junior.

“The USGA is pleased to renew its commitment with Kohler and looks forward to a long and fulfilling association,” said Mark Hill, USGA executive director of championships, in a statement. “Whistling Straits is known for its performance on the international stage and we know it will challenge and thoroughly impress the best amateur players in the world.”

Whistling Straits was the memorable host of the Ryder Cup in 2021. The course has hosted three PGA Championships (2004, 2010 and 2015) as well as the 2007 US Senior Open.

Whistling Straits is owned and operated by the Kohler Co. along with Blackwolf Run, which hosted the U.S. Women's Open in 1998 and 2012.

The USGA is well-versed in Wisconsin's world-class golf courses, having hosted 17 events in the state over the years. In addition to the events at Whistling Straits, Erin Hills hosted the 2017 U.S. Open and the 2011 U.S. Junior, while the 2023 U.S. Senior Open will be held at SentryWorld. Erin Hills will also host the 2025 U.S. Women's Open.

SentryWorld has already been selected by the USGA to host the 2026 U.S. Mid-Amateur, 2029 U.S. Junior Amateur, 2030 U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur and 2034 U.S. Girls' Junior.
