Victorville man arrested, suspected of killing family member in Gardena store – Daily Breeze

A Victorville man was arrested on suspicion of killing an 82-year-old family member at a Gardena store on Saturday, Aug. 17, authorities said.

At about 9:15 a.m., a 911 caller reported screaming coming from the store in the 1500 block of West 130th Street, according to Gardena police. Arriving officers found Donte Harris outside the store wearing bloodstained clothing and an unconscious man inside.

The victim, Le Roy Harris of Inglewood, was pronounced dead at the scene.

43-year-old Donte Harris was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Information on the exact relationship between the suspect and the victim or on any known motive for the attack was not initially available.

Police initially did not provide any information as to whether a weapon was involved in the death.
