Milwaukee woman allegedly fatally beats husband, faces murder charge

A Milwaukee woman is accused of hitting a man in the head 22 times, killing him before walking away.

Damarius Wade, 24, is charged with second-degree manslaughter. Investigators believe this all happened because Wade intervened in another argument between a couple who had previously been victims of domestic violence.

It happened early on July 19 near 8th and Orchard.

That July morning, investigators say, Wade noticed a 44-year-old man becoming violent during an argument in an alley.

The man's on-again, off-again girlfriend told police he pushed, punched and dragged her while she screamed at him to stop. That's when Wade stepped in and started fighting with the man, telling the woman she was protecting her.

The complaint states that Wade beat the man until his face turned blue and that he died at the scene.

The public prosecutor assumes that the crime was recorded on video.
