Woman hospitalized, husband jailed after domestic stabbing – Guthrie News Page

The Logan County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations, is investigating a domestic violence case that left a woman hospitalized and a man in jail.

The incident in southern Logan County occurred shortly after 10 p.m. Friday at a home in the Silverfield neighborhood, near Santa Fe Road north of Simmons Road.

Officers were responding to reports that a woman had been stabbed by a man who later turned out to be her husband.

The woman suffered numerous stab wounds, allegedly inflicted by her husband, 71-year-old Don Gable.

A family member, presumably the couple's son, intervened to stop the attack.

Both the man and woman were transported by Miller EMS to OU Medical Center for treatment. There is no current information on the woman's condition, but she is expected to be released as early as Saturday.

Gable was released from the medical unit, transported and booked into the Logan County Detention Center. He is scheduled to be formally arraigned this week.

Don Gable is accused of stabbing his wife multiple times in their home in southern Logan County.
