According to police, the accused Harvinder Singh (45) and his nephew Jasdeep Singh (22) reside in Sitarganj area of ​​Udham Singh Nagar district.
Jasdeep was previously caught in Mexico while attempting to enter the United States illegally via the “donkey route.”
After his deportation, he decided to go to his uncle in Drug traffickinghoping to make quick money to finance his dream of obtaining a legal visa to the United States.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), STF, Ayush Agrawal, said on Saturday, “Both were nabbed after the Kumaon unit of the STF received a tip-off on Friday. Based on the tip-off, the police stopped their car near a temple during the night. While searching the vehicle, the officers found the Drugs4.50 crore rupees in the international market. During interrogation, the duo confessed that they had bought the heroin from a man named Bablu in Bareilly and planned to sell it to a buyer named Lala in Nepal.”
He added that while Harvinder had been involved in the drug trade for about two years, Jasdeep had joined him only six months ago.
“Jasdeep started trading illegally to raise money for his US dream after he was deported from Mexico when he was caught trying to enter the US illegally.
