West Seattle Blog… | UPDATE: 1 hospitalized after accident on West Marginal Way SW

00:18: Police are closing West Marginal Way at the scene of what is believed to be a single-vehicle crash. The driver is believed to have struck a pole and been ejected from the vehicle “near the railroad tracks” in the 4500 block of West Marginal. SFD paramedics are currently treating him for what are reportedly significant injuries.

00:26: This is a short distance north of the Duwamish Longhouse. According to license plate information transmitted over the radio, the car is a 1991 Honda Civic. The driver is described as being in his 30s. What police found at the scene suggests that speed and alcohol likely played a role in the crash.
