Skaneateles man arrested for drunk driving with child in car in Seneca Falls

A Skaneateles man was arrested in Seneca Falls late Saturday after police found him driving while intoxicated with a child in the car. Andrew C. Russo, 48, was stopped for speeding on Ovid Street at 10 p.m. when police found him to be under the influence of alcohol.

Russo was charged with several misdemeanors, including driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or more, and driving under the influence of alcohol under Leandra's Law for having a child in the car. He also faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child and speeding.

Russo was charged but released with a summons to appear in Seneca Falls City Court at a later date.
