Post Malone says it would 'suck' to be as famous as Taylor Swift

Post Malone feels the immense fame of Taylor Swift and Beyoncé is a burden. He says it “must suck” to live with their level of fame.

The hip-hop artist and songwriter, who features songs on Taylor Swift and Beyoncé's 2024 albums, expressed his reluctance to gain their notoriety.

“I can't even imagine being on their level – that has to be bad,” Post Malone said in an interview with the New York Times published this week.

The artist, born Austin Richard Post, explained in detail how intense and haunting this experience must be.

Post Malone shared his observations while working with Swift and described how the 34-year-old singer had to take extreme measures to avoid paparazzi while filming the video for the song “Fortnight.”

Taylor had to be completely covered – with an umbrella and curtains over a golf cart – to protect her from drones and helicopters taking pictures, he said. “It's so much pressure.”

His collaboration with Beyoncé was also marked by deception.

For their song “LEVII'S JEANS,” Post Malone never met the 42-year-old superstar in person.

The musician explained that Beyoncé's team sent her part of the song to his Utah estate and the couple communicated exclusively via text message.

“It was terrible,” he said, but for him it was “just an honor to be near these people.”
