Police investigate dangerous driving incident in downtown Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a dangerous driving incident involving a motorcycle in Kitchener.

On August 17, 2024, at approximately 9:10 a.m., a motorcyclist ignored a red light at intersections in the area of ​​Queen Street South and King Street East.

Police officers observed the motorcycle and attempted to stop traffic, but the driver did not stop and eluded police by riding on a sidewalk and across a crosswalk.

For security reasons, no prosecution was initiated.

The motorcycle in question is pictured below and has green rims. It is believed to be a Honda CBR500R.

Driver to be identified

The driver is described as male, aged between 20 and 35 years old. He is wearing a black football jersey with gold lettering, white shoes and a white helmet. He also has a conspicuous tattoo in red ink on his left forearm.
