Minor girl from Bihar's Gaya gang rape victim, two accused in custody

Gaya (Bihar): A sensational case of gang rape of a 12-year-old minor girl has come to light in Gaya district of Bihar. According to police, three youths forced the minor to consume food laced with sedatives and raped her when she fell unconscious. On receiving the information, police swung into action and arrested the two accused.

The incident took place in the Magadh University police station area of ​​Gaya district. Police said that the 12-year-old minor had gone to her farm to collect firewood on August 17 afternoon. During this time, three youths, who were waiting for the opportunity, forcibly picked her up and took her to a room in the farm premises.

The youths then forced her to eat food laced with sedatives, after which she soon lost consciousness. All three youths immediately raped the minor together. Afterwards, all three left the minor in the room and ran away after locking it from the outside.

When the minor, who had gone to fetch firewood, did not return home, the family became worried. They immediately started searching for her. Meanwhile, someone from the village said that the girl had been seen in the room. When the family members reached the spot, the room was locked and bolted from outside. The family members had somehow managed to peek into the room through the window and took out the unconscious girl after breaking down the door.

The victim and family members were taken to Magadh University police station by Dial 112. The team arrived at the spot after receiving the information. Based on their complaint, a case was registered. After that, the police swung into action and searched several places in search of the three accused. The police managed to arrest two accused. All three youths who committed the gang rape live in the same village.

“A case of rape of a minor has come to light. Police have taken immediate action in the case. Two accused have been arrested. The third accused is also wanted. Police are busy taking further action,” said Ashish Bharti, SSP, Gaya.
