The release date for Richard Madden's new film on Prime Video has been confirmed

Richard Madden’s new film has received an official release date.

Killer heat based on Jo Nesbø's short story The jealous man, which was released in 2021. In the Amazon Studios adaptation, Madden will be seen in a dual role, portraying two twin brothers.

Set on a Greek island, the film is about twins (played by Madden) who become involved in a violent love triangle. The plot intensifies when a detective named The Jealousy Man (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is brought in to investigate the case.

Killer heat appears on 26 Septemberon Amazon's streaming service Prime Video.

The film was directed by Philippe Lacôte and will also star Shailene Woodley. House of Gucci Writer Roberto Bentivegna and Bridge of Spies' Matt Charman was responsible for developing the script.

Madden most recently starred alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the spy thriller series citadel.

The pair play elite agents Nadia Sinh (Chopra Jonas) and Mason Kane (Madden), whose memories were erased after the fall of their agency Citadel.

After hiding out in their new lives, they are brought back to the world of espionage for a global mission. The duo navigate their secret relationship while trying to prevent the establishment of a new world order.

A second season of the series has been confirmed for 2023. Madden and Chopra Jonas will reprise their roles. Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville will also return for season 2.

Elsewhere the Italian branch Citadel: Diana recently revealed a first trailer and a confirmed release date.

Killer heat will be released on Prime Video on September 26th. citadel is available to stream on Prime Video. Citadel: Diana will premiere on Prime Video on October 10th.
