Ahead of his November 15 fight on Netflix against heavyweight icon Mike Tyson, Jake Paul has made an astronomical claim about his earnings at the event.

“I'm here to make $40 million and take out a legend,” Paul said during Sunday's press conference at Fanatics Fest in New York City.

Paul also annoyed Mike Tyson by making derogatory remarks about his hometown of New York:

Paul was in full promotional mode during Sunday's event, enduring boos from the New York crowd and declaring he would shock the world again when he and Tyson meet in the ring. Tyson was more relaxed as he answered questions from ESPN analyst Ryan Clark, who moderated the press conference. The former heavyweight champion even playfully shoved Paul during their encounter.

When asked why he would agree to fight Paul despite their 30-year age difference, Tyson replied: “Because I can. Who else can do it but me? Who else would he fight to make that possible? We just have to believe the fact that here is a YouTuber fighting the greatest fighter of all time.”

Tyson and Paul were originally scheduled to face each other on July 20, but the 58-year-old had to pull out of the fight due to a stomach ulcer. Paul instead faced Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship star Mike Perry and won by sixth-round TKO, improving his professional record to 10-1.

The 27-year-old claimed that a fight against Tyson will bring him closer to his ultimate goal of becoming a world boxing champion. Although many people are against Paul, he has proven to draw large crowds to his events and the November clash will be no different.
