Mike Tyson hits and shoves Jake Paul during a heated argument after the boxing match was postponed

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul touched each other during a heated argument in New York today when they were separated.

The boxing legend and his YouTuber rival will fight on November 15 and kicked off their event with a press conference at Fanatics Fest at the Javits Center on Sunday afternoon. Over 2,500 fans packed into the event's main theater while thousands more were turned away due to a raucous show.

Tyson was relatively calm compared to earlier days, while Paul provoked both him and the New York crowd. But when the two faced each other, things got physical, as the local hero tried to show humor with a few light moves and the two had to be separated by shoving each other.

During the press conference itself, Mike Tyson didn't want to dwell too much on Jake Paul's trash talk and instead kept his answers short and sweet. But when he did speak, it sparked a massive reaction from the packed house that seemed almost entirely in favor of the boxing legend.

Things got heated, however, when Paul and Tyson squared off after media questions. The former heavyweight champion of the world threw a punch in jest before throwing a more serious punch. The punch missed the mark by a mile, but his jab was a bit more intense.

He couldn't move Paul much, and the social media star responded in an Instagram post by saying, “You can't move a wall.” While Tyson seemed to laugh it off, the shove seemed to have more serious intentions.

Mike Tyson kept his composure during the press conference, even as Paul questioned the legitimacy of his health issue that led to their initial cancellation. The press conference was presented as a show by Paul and host Ryan Clark, with the YouTuber delivering some of his best lines.

“You're the one who wanted eight two-minute rounds,” Paul told Tyson after being warned that he better show up to the fight in shape. “You want ten three-punches? Don't talk to me about form, that's the problem, everyone just talks.”

“I'll do anything, anywhere, anytime, but with them it's all just talk. I state the facts, he talks bullshit. I'll put it all on the line.”

During Paul's tirade, Tyson had a quick response that sent chills down the spines of viewers who remember his fearsome aura from years of massive knockouts. He told Paul he better get in shape because his “health depends on it.”

And when Paul fired back with his own verbal attacks, Tyson told him to “be careful” with his words, then added that Paul “should be very scared, yes.”

Tyson recently returned to training camp and told Bloody Elbow today: “I'm fine and I've been training. I've been training for a while, two or three weeks, and I'm ready to fight… I'm in training camp right now.”
