Home and Away confirms murderer's fate after tragic death

The following are spoilers for Home and Away from Australian-paced episodes that some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.

“Home and Away” broadcast the outcome of the story surrounding Stevie Marlow’s tragic death.

Stevie's final scenes aired on Australian screens this week after her dangerous stalker Sidney Wickham was released and tracked her down in the bay.

In horrific scenes, film star Stevie was gunned down on the beach during the filming of her new movie “All Our Tomorrows”.

Sidney fled the scene after committing the horrific crime. Meanwhile, Stevie was taken to the hospital, where doctors Bree Cameron and Levi Fowler could not save her life.

In Wednesday's (May 29) episode on Australian screens, Stevie's bodyguard Cash Newman was the next to find himself in danger when he discovered Sidney waiting for him at home.

With Sidney still armed, Cash was forced to comply with his demands while he sought information about Stevie's fate.

Since news of the shooting had not made the news due to a media blackout, Sidney feared that his evil plan to kill Stevie had “failed.”

A grieving Cash urged him to believe that Stevie had indeed lost her life, but the villain insisted on staying in the house until there was official confirmation.

Fortunately, Cash managed to overpower Sidney when the shooter was distracted by Eden Fowler, who showed up at the house.

Eden called the police to the scene and Sidney was arrested for murder. He celebrated his “victory” with nausea when he realized that Cash had told the truth about Stevie's fate.

As the dust settled after the traumatic 24 hours in the bay, Stevie's death had several repercussions.

Stevie's boyfriend Remi Carter blamed Cash for the incident, claiming he failed in his duty as her bodyguard.

It turns out that Sidney's release was originally due to a mistrial. This happened after someone involved “liked” a social media post, thereby derailing the case. Unfortunately, news of Sidney's release didn't reach Cash until it was too late to protect Stevie.

Cash was finally called into town to meet with the security company that put him on Stevie's case three months ago. Will they agree with Remi that Cash is to blame, or will Cash's name be cleared?

Fans of Home and Away in the UK will be able to see these scenes on Channel 5 in July.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeats at 6pm on 5STAR and first previews at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in Great Britain.
