After introducing his accomplice in episode 5 of the fourth season of “Snowpiercer,” Admiral Anton Milius' next plan of action could bring a new shock

Contains spoilers for “Snowpiercer” Season 4

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Admiral Anton Milius, the character introduced in season 4 of Snowpiercer, has brought a whole new twist to the series. While the previous three seasons were all about Melanie Cavill, Joseph Wilford and Andre Layton, this season the dynamic changes and Admiral Milius (Clark Gregg) emerges as a formidable force with unclear intentions. He has taken over Melanie Cavill's (Jennifer Connelly) machine by force and is now targeting Andre Layton's (Daveed Diggs) Big Alice. In the first episode, he kidnaps Andre's daughter Liana, after which Andre pursues Snowpiercer to rescue her. Andre and Josie Wellstead (Katie McGuinness) sneaked onto Snowpiercer until Milius caught Josie and offered her a shocking deal – Liana in exchange for Big Alice.

In “Snowpiercer” Season 4, Episode 5, the team faces a critical dilemma that leads to escalating chaos. Milius traps them in a silo (the military bunker) after they hand over Big Alice to them. He then introduces them to Joseph Wilford (Sean Bean), who was left on the tracks in the previous season. When Ben (Iddo Goldberg) realizes they are trapped, he tries to use his engineering expertise to plan a daring rescue. He leads Bess Till (Mickey Sumner) to bring Big Alice to New Eden while sacrificing his own life during the deadly mission. As the battle between Milius and Andre rages on, Episode 5 ends on major cliffhangers, leaving fans in suspense about the fate of Andre, Josie, Liana, and the survivors in New Eden.

What to expect from Season 4, Episode 6 of Snowpiercer?

The drama gets even more exciting in the next episode of the AMC+ series. While you wait for the next episode, let's break down everything you can expect next:

1) Andre Layton’s suffering will continue

In Season 4 of Snowpiercer, Andre Layton transforms from the fearless leader he once was into a deeply emotional father willing to risk everything for his child. This time, he's not leading a revolution. He's so obsessed with his desire to be reunited with Liana that he disregards the safety of others and the democratic ideals of New Eden. His sole focus is getting his daughter back.

Milius has already recognized his weakness, which is why he has been able to successfully establish his authority so far. In the final scene of episode 5, Andre is brought face to face with Liana for the first time since her kidnapping. However, Liana is in the care of Joseph Wilford, which will surely upset Andre even more. It seems that Andre will have to wait a little longer to see her again.

With Big Alice now out of reach, Milius must hatch a new plan before he can consider releasing Andre and his daughter. Part of the official synopsis for “Snowpiercer” Season 4, Episode 6 reads: “Layton wakes up on a deserted floor and is approached by people with toxic gas scars.”

2) The collaboration between Admiral Milius and Joseph Wilford begins to unravel

Milius rescued Wilford from the tracks and offered him shelter in the bunker. Since then, Wilford has been helping Milius with his plans, including helping him kidnap Snowpiercer and suggesting the kidnapping of Liana.

Both Milius and Wilford have selfish reasons for this union. Milius wants to complete a mission, while Wilford wants his engine back and has a plan for revenge. Still, they don't fully trust each other, especially Milius. That's probably why Milius agreed to give Andre a chance to beat Wilford if everything goes according to plan.

Episode 6 further explores the connection between the two leaders with a shocking twist. According to the synopsis, “Nima needs more samples for his experiments, so Milius sends Wilford and the soldiers to get them. In private, Milius tells Wolf to kill Wilford.”

Why does Milius want Wilford dead? Will his plan succeed? Milius' wavering loyalty to Wilford sets the stage for an exciting plot.

3) Life in New Eden

Season 4, Episode 5 of “Snowpiercer” skipped New Eden, so we expect the next episode to focus on life in New Eden while they wait for the engine to return. In Episode 4, we saw that the humans were dealing with new challenges and Sam Roche (Mike O'Malley) mysteriously disappeared into the mountains while going on an inspection with Oz (Sam Otto).

We are still in the dark about Roche's fate. In the meantime, it will be exciting to see if Bess and Ruth Wardell (Alison Wright) can bring the engine back to New Eden in time to save the lives of those whose future remains uncertain.
