S Keidron Smith argues for sticking with two picks in two weeks

First thoughts on the Broncos’ 27-2 win over the Packers at Empower Field:

1. Keidron rocks: We found Essang Bassey for 2024! Keidron Smith, a second-year safety who spent last season with the Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders, earned his second preseason pick in as many preseason weeks, finishing the first two quarters in impressive fashion. The former SEC star intercepted a Sean Clifford miss and carried it back 56 yards to set up the Broncos' second and final touchdown of the first half. The bright side for Smith: Even if the last two games don't help his roster status with the Broncos, film in the league should certainly help. Bassey earned three picks for the Broncos during the 2023 preseason. He ultimately played four games in the regular season before being released in early October and eventually landing with the Chargers (2023) and the Lions (2024).
