Join the fight against HIV/AIDS at the 34th Annual Tallahassee AIDS Walk

Take a step in the fight against HIV/AIDS in the community next month at the 34th annual Tallahassee AIDS Walk.

Big Bend Cares, in partnership with Neighborhood Medical Center and Bond Community Health Center, will be visiting the Southwood Nature Trail on Thursday, September 12. Each year the walk grows larger, attracting hundreds of participants as the community is invited to come and honor those who have fought against the spread of HIV/AIDS.

The walk begins at 6:30 p.m. and is approximately one mile long. Expect a convivial evening with educational guest speakers and fun for all the family.

The event benefits the community and helps Big Bend Cares reach its goal of $100,000. The money will be used for food, transportation, housing and medical care for those in need.

In addition to self-registration, Big Bend Cares encourages student organizations, businesses, families, clubs and faith communities to form a team and register together.

Big Bend Cares' press release states: “We run for the more than 100,000 people living with HIV in Florida. We run to remember those who can no longer. We run to remind you that you are not alone. We run for a nation. We run to educate. We run for change.”
