Riots at India-Bangladesh T20 cricket match in Gwalior, protests by the Hindu Mahasabha

Gwalior: The T20 international cricket match between India and Bangladesh scheduled to be played in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh on October 6 is in trouble. Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha has announced a protest against this match. The Mahasabha has raised its voice against the atrocities being committed on Hindus in Bangladesh and is demanding cancellation of this match.

The office-bearers of the Hindu Mahasabha say it is unacceptable to play a cricket match on Indian soil with a country where Hindus are persecuted. The Mahasabha has written a blood-curdling letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to intervene in the matter. The letter demands that the cricket match series between India and Bangladesh be cancelled immediately.

It is worth mentioning that Gwalior has an opportunity to host an international T20 cricket match after 14 years. This match is scheduled to be played on October 6 at the newly constructed Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Shankarpur of the city. Confirming this event was the great Aryaman Scindia, son of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who had been trying to organize this match in Gwalior for a long time.

However, the Hindu Mahasabha has decided to protest against the arrival of the Bangladesh team. The National Vice President of the Mahasabha, Dr. Jaiveer Bhardwaj, said that this match should not take place in view of the atrocities being committed against Hindus in Bangladesh. He warned that if the Bangladesh team is not stopped from playing, the Mahasabha will strongly oppose this match.
