Shooting this weekend in Boston’s Franklin Park – NBC Boston

According to authorities, a festival weekend ended in violence after five people were shot following the Dominican festival in Franklin Park in Boston.

According to Boston police, officers were clearing the crowd after the festival around 8:45 p.m. on Sunday when someone fired several shots into the crowd.

According to police, three men and two women were shot. One of the accused was taken to hospital by a police officer, the other four were taken by ambulance.

Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Police are urgently appealing for witnesses to come forward and help arrest the shooter(s).

“Many, many people witnessed this and we need the public's support. If anyone has any video footage or anything like that, we really need help because we need to hold someone accountable,” said Boston Police Chief Michael Cox. “Whether it was an individual or multiple individuals who were responsible for this heinous act of shooting into a crowd of people.”

The names and ages of the victims have not been released and no arrests have been made so far.
