1 dead and 7 injured in shooting in Baltimore

A 36-year-old man was killed and seven others injured in a shooting in the 1300 block of Spring Street on Sunday evening, according to Baltimore Police Chief Richard Worley.

Shortly after 8 p.m., officers responded to several calls reporting a shooting at a gathering. Upon arrival, they found several male victims and one female victim with gunshot wounds. The victims, aged between 22 and 45, were transported to the hospital by firefighters. Their condition varies from critical to stable.

Homicide detectives and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) were on scene searching for witnesses and ballistic evidence. Several firearms were recovered at the scene. Police are also asking residents to provide any available video footage that may have documented the incident.
