Jamestown police investigate three shootings

The Jamestown Police Department examines three different Shootings that happened last week.

The first shooting occurred in downtown Jamestown in the early morning hours of Friday, August 16. Police say the victim got into an altercation with another person while leaving a bar, which led to the shooting. The victim is being treated at a regional hospital for life-threatening injuries.

The second shooting occurred on August 16 in the 800 block of Prendergast Avenue. The victim was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.

The third shooting occurred on August 17 at around 1:00 a.m. on Victoria Avenue. Police say the victim is being treated for life-threatening injuries. The 33-year-old Juan Tufino Jr. was arrested after a loaded handgun was found on his person. He is in the city jail awaiting arraignment on a third-degree charge of criminal possession of a weapon.
