Matt Cardona: TNA is absolutely awesome with NXT, I want to be there

Matt Cardona wants to take part in the NXT/TNA crossover.

Cardona recently returned to TNA and crashed the wedding of PCO and Steph De Lander on the August 1 edition of TNA iMPACT!. Cardona made the most of his return and attacked PCO with a cinder block.

Speaking to Sports Guys Talk Wrestling for a new interview, Cardona began by talking about exceeding his doctor's timetable for a return to the ring.

“There's no good time to get injured, but this was definitely not a good time. I had just returned to TNA and was kind of celebrating my four-year retirement from WWE. I put out a video that got over a million views, but then I had to announce, oh, that video was great. Thanks for watching, by the way, I'm injured and I'm going to be out six to eight months. I've been working my ass off and I'll be back in four months. My comeback match is next Sunday for GCW. Yeah, the doctor said six to eight months, I made it in four because I'm pushing myself. I love the effort, I love the grind.”

Cardona then said that he wanted to be part of the crossover between TNA and NXT.

“I still have so much I want to accomplish. I see TNA being absolutely successful with NXT, I want to be a part of that. I want to return to TNA, especially if SDL, my partner, my property, marries PCO behind my back. I have to go and see what's going on there.”

Cardona will face PCO at TNA Emergence. The updated card for this event can be found here.

Cardona also recently stated that he wants Bobby Lashley. For more on those comments, click here.
