Bright Eyes have released a video for “Rainbow Overpass” from their upcoming album “Five Dice, All Threes”.

Shining eyes have a video for “Rainbow Overpass”.

It is the latest single from their upcoming tenth studio album “Five Dice, All Threes”, which is due to be released on September 20th via Dead Oceans, and contains Alex Orange Drink from The So So Glos.

Speaking about the concept of the video, Alex Orange Drink says: “Rainbow Overpass is a term our friend coined to describe the passageway we all have to cross to get to the other side. For me, this song is about experiencing something dark and scary and refusing to let it kill you. The video reflects that in the near-collision. Petra and Corina have the coolest energy in the car. Petra saves the day!”

From the route itself, Conor Oberst explains: “Alex and I have written many songs together, but 'Rainbow Overpass' is the only one he gets [to sing] a verse. He's kind of my hype man, getting the Beastie Boys going a little bit! They grew up listening to punk rock and the Beasties, so there are a lot of little bursts of other voices. I like that. It creates energy. Sometimes music can feel flat until you get into a live situation when there's adrenaline and raw energy involved. Rather than working the other way around, which is what happens on our tours, I tried to bring some of that energy onto the record.”

“Five Dice, All Threes” was self-produced and recorded at ARC Studios in Omaha, Nebraska. The album also features guests Cat Power and Matt Berninger of The National.

Bright Eyes have also announced a European tour in support of the new album:
