Teenage driver allegedly crashed into house in Dover while drunk

Dover, MN (KROC-AM News) – A teenager faces criminal charges after driving his car into a home in Olmsted County.

That's according to Captain Tim Parkin of the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office. Officers responded to the accident around 3:45 a.m. Sunday morning.

Parkin said officers found the vehicle crashed into the side of a home on Center Street West in Dover.

Police suspected the driver, a 17-year-old boy, was under the influence of alcohol after speaking to him, Parkin said.

The driver was taken to hospital by Eyota ambulance; his injuries were apparently not life-threatening. There is no current information on his condition.

Parkin said the driver could face drunken driving charges. No other injuries were reported.
