Mass shooting in East Baltimore leaves one dead and seven injured

Baltimore police confirmed that eight people were shot – seven men and one woman between the ages of 22 and 45

One of the 36-year-old men died. At least one other victim is still in critical condition.

According to police, several weapons were seized at the crime scene.

The ATF is assisting in the investigation.

Mayor Brandon Scott made this statement after the shooting.

“Tonight, Baltimore is grappling with the impact of another mass murder that has taken the life of a Baltimore resident and irreparably changed several others. Baltimore Police Department investigators will work tirelessly to find and hold accountable those responsible for this horrific act of violence. To those who know who was involved – even if they are your loved ones – I urge you to do the right thing and call on them to take responsibility. Scott also said his Office of Neighborhood Safety will initiate a “coordinated neighborhood stabilization effort” and provide resources to the E. Oliver neighborhood as it begins the healing process.

Police are at the scene of a mass shooting in East Baltimore.

It happened Sunday evening in the 1300 block of North Spring Street.

The age and gender of the victims have not yet been disclosed.
