Strategic ships and twins with double the trouble in episode 3 of “The Buzz”

It’s been an intense week in the BBNaija: No Loose Guard house and Toke Makinwa together with her guests Folagade Banks and Kika Ofulue gave us exclusive insights into the goings on of the exclusive talk show The Buzz.

From the iconic argument between Wanni, Handi and Rhuthee following the eviction to Chinwe and Zion's adventure that fueled conversations about the couple both inside and outside the house, three weeks into the game, the housemates are definitely keeping viewers entertained.

Speaking on why so much pent-up anger erupted this week, Folagade Banks said that the housemates bottled up their emotions during the first and second weeks. He referred to a conversation between Wanni and Handi in which the twins explained that housemates stayed out of fights because other housemates had the power to evict others if they were chosen as Guardians of the Week.

Regardless of the reasons, the trio – Toke, Folagade and Kika – agreed that the Wanni x Handi and Rhuthee fight was the fight of the week, with Toke Makinwa specifically mentioning that the twins had the HBIC (Head B*tch In Charge) energy.

“What is happening with Wanni, Handi and Rhuthee is a clash of personalities. With or without a kitchen, they (Wanni, Handi and Rhuthee) are going to have problems,” added Folagade Banks.

Although the fights made for an interesting week, the bonds and connections that formed in the house also added to the intensity of the week as the love triangle between Rhuthee, Mayor Frosh and Nelly led to tensions between Sooj and Mayor Frosh as well as between Rhuthee and Nelly. However, Folagade shared that he did not approve of how Rhuthee told her partner DJ Flo that she was “using” Mayor Frosh. On the other hand, Toke Makinwa and Kika felt that men do the same thing so it was not wrong for her to vent her feelings.

Since new connections are constantly forming in the house, the trio agreed that these connections are a way for the housemates to create “content.” From Shaun and Wanni to Topher and Anita, to Kika, all of these connections are strategies, and outside of the house, these relationships are unlikely to flourish. In particular, she referred to Shaun's comment where he suggested that his current connection brings a lot of content. To Kika, the connections in the house are convenient.

On Topher and Anita's ship, Toke said, “I think they (Topher and Anita) are cute together, but I don't know why, I don't see enough depth.” Kika agrees with this summary and further says, “I think it's just content. He might like her, but not in that way. Sooj and Topher are very careful about what they do.”

While alliances and partnerships were formed, existing partnerships, including Zinwe's, fell apart due to her comments about dragging and sponsoring her partner and friend Zion on the show. Although Toke Makinwa felt it was an off-the-cuff conversation spewed out of anger, Kika believes she was aware of the impact of her statement and how viewers would perceive it. Folagade, on the other hand, believes her statement was a bit too much and guarantees that the duo will have a problem when Zion finally watches the clip.

Before the show ended, Toke Makinwa expressed her sympathy for Shaun. She said: “There's something about the guy, I grow fond of him. I think he's a real man.” She also commented that Wanni was jealous of Shaun and Nelly's relationship. “I think she has a reason to be jealous,” she explained.

Furthermore, the trio agreed that the only person Shaun would have wanted in the house would be Nelly as her “steeze match.” All this and more was discussed on this week's episode of The Buzz.
