Suspect in fatal shooting at car rental company arrested in Clark County after Arizona arrest

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (FOX5) – The suspect accused in a fatal shooting behind a Las Vegas car rental agency was booked into the Clark County Detention Center Saturday, police records show.

Frederick Lee Blanche Jr., 37, is accused of shooting a man and a woman behind an Avis car rental location at the West Sahara Venue on Saturday, August 3.

The woman, identified as Gina Martin, later succumbed to her injuries. Friends of Martin told FOX5 that the shooting was a targeted attack by Blanche Jr., her ex-fiancée.

On Monday, August 5, Blanche Jr. was taken into custody by local police in Buckeye, Arizona, on suspicion of several serious crimes, including murder.

He is charged with attempted murder and open murder in Clark County. He appeared before a Las Vegas Justice Court judge on Monday, August 19.
