Royal man allegedly threatened to murder two people

A Royal Navy man has been charged with threatening to kill a woman and a witness during an incident early Saturday near Francis Sites, southeast of Spirit Lake.

Jedediah Olsen, 43, of Royal, was charged with armed assault with intent, assault with a dangerous weapon, domestic violence with the display or use of a weapon…1^st Insult, harassment in 1^st Degree, criminal mischief in the 2^and Degree and bodily harm in the commission of a crime.

A criminal complaint filed by the Dickinson County Sheriff's Office accuses Olsen of using a tire iron to smash the windows of a vehicle containing the female victim and of threatening to kill her and another person who witnessed the incident.

Olsen is being held in the Dickinson County Jail on $25,000 bail.
