Charlotte murder suspect arrested months later in New York

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – The suspect in a March murder in Charlotte was arrested five months later in another state.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said 37-year-old Terrance Gerod McBride was arrested in New York City on August 17 in connection with the March 17 shooting death of 31-year-old Darien Lamont Morrison.

McBride has been charged with murder and illegal possession of weapons. He is awaiting extradition, police said.

The arrest came after Morrison was found shot to death on Bradford Drive, just off Freedom Drive.
