Fox News has still not broadcast Trump's comments denigrating Medal of Honor recipients

Media Matters searched the SnapStream video database of transcripts of all Fox News Channel original programs for the terms “Trump” or “Former President” appearing in close proximity to the terms “Veteran,” “Medal,” “Freedom,” “Award,” “Honor,” or “Military” from August 15, 2024, when Trump made his derogatory remarks about Medal of Honor recipients, to August 19, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. ET.

We measured time for segments that we defined as instances in which Trump's comments about Medal of Honor recipients were the stated topic of discussion or in which we observed significant discussion of the comments. We defined significant discussion as instances in which two or more speakers in a multi-topic segment discussed the comments with each other.

We also measured the time of mentions, which were instances in which a speaker mentioned Trump's comments in a segment on another topic without another speaker addressing the comment, and teasers, which were instances in which the moderator or host promoted a segment about Trump's comments that would air later in the show.
