Fatal weekend shooting in Fort Lauderdale under police investigation

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida. – Fort Lauderdale police are actively investigating a shooting involving three people that occurred over the weekend.

No arrests have been made so far, and investigators believe the shooting occurred in the middle of an intersection, putting countless other lives in danger.

It happened early Saturday morning in the 600 block of Northwest 62nd Street, just west of I-95.

Several emergency calls were received following the shooting, including from one of the victims who was heard screaming in pain.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found three men shot dead in a vehicle.

A black sedan with numerous bullet holes in the windows was observed at the crime scene.

The victims were taken to a nearby hospital, where one of them died.

He was identified as 18-year-old Marion Harrison.

Another man who was not hit by gunfire was taken to hospital as a precaution, police said.

Authorities believe the shooting occurred while the victims were driving in the middle of Northwest 62nd Street, endangering other motorists.

The search for the shooter now continues.

What led to this fatal gun attack remains under investigation.

The identities of the other victims were not disclosed.
