Police respond to North Andover Turnpike Street, two dead – NBC Boston

According to authorities, two people were killed in an “incident” at a home in North Andover, Massachusetts on Monday.

The Essex County District Attorney's Office confirmed it is investigating a case involving two victims at a home on Turnpike Street, but declined to provide further details about the incident.

Officials initially said Monday that one person had died and another was seriously injured. They later said the second person had died after being taken to a local hospital. The names of the victims were not released.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone was arrested or whether the suspect was known to police.

The public prosecutor's office stated that this is currently an isolated case. The authorities do not currently believe that there is a greater danger to the population.

North Andover police and the Essex County District Attorney's Office are investigating.

Aerial photos from the scene showed several police and fire vehicles parked in front of a home in the 200 block of the street. The public was asked to avoid the area.
