Man arrested after armed car theft and police chase on Monday

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A man with outstanding arrest warrants is behind bars following an armed carjacking Monday, a Tallahassee police spokesman said.

According to TPD, the 29-year-old man allegedly possessed a weapon and stole a car near Palm Beach Street.

Police said they pursued the stolen car, with the car thief ramming another car. The crash did not cause major damage and no injuries were reported.

The stolen car continued to flee from police into a rural area of ​​Leon County, where the Florida Highway Patrol joined the pursuit.

The police then hit the bumper of the stolen car, causing an accident. The man was arrested after the accident.
