COON RAPIDS, Minnesota – An investigation is ongoing after a woman died in a traffic accident in Coon Rapids on Sunday evening.

According to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, it happened just before 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Coon Rapids Boulevard Northwest and Springbrook Drive Northwest.

A man driving an SUV attempted to turn left when a woman driving a pickup truck with a trailer collided with the SUV.

A woman who was flying in the SUV was given life-saving measures before being taken to the hospital, where she died.

The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries.

The sheriff's office said the driver of the pickup truck was uninjured. She was arrested at the scene, but no official charges have been filed against her.

The Coon Rapids Police Department, Midwest Medical Examiner's Office and Anoka County Sheriff's Office are investigating the accident.

Coon Rapids is located 20 minutes north of Minneapolis.
