Four arrests, two weapons seized after shooting and chase

Montgomery County police arrested four suspects, including at least two juveniles, after a shooting in Germantown led to a chase in Gaithersburg/Montgomery Village during which two handguns were recovered.

According to the police, “around approx. 16:52MCPD responded to the report of a shooting in the 19260 block of Circle Gate Dr. Officers found evidence of a shooting and a vehicle was located.

At approximately 17:33Officers spotted the suspect's vehicle in the area of ​​Rothbury Dr. and Arrowhead Rd. A short pursuit was initiated. The vehicle came to a stop in the 20120 block of Rothbury Dr. and the suspects ran away.

Officers located all four male suspects, at least two of whom are minors, and took them into custody. One of the suspects was apprehended by a sniffer dog and taken to a nearby hospital with very minor, non-life-threatening injuries. Officers have since recovered two handguns. This is an active and ongoing investigation.”
