Two accused in drug raid in Dunkirk | News, Sports, Jobs








Two residents of Dunkirk have been charged with drug-related offenses following months of investigations into drug trafficking in the city.

On Friday, drug agents from the Dunkirk Police Department and the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant for the apartment at 56 W. Doughty St. At the time of the search, Kevin Dejesus-Rivera (32) and Christian Ayala-Gonzalez (37) were in the apartment.

During the search, investigators found that they had seized 13.85 grams of crack, 2.2 grams of cocaine, 7.02 grams of fentanyl, scales and packaging materials for the sale and distribution of narcotics, and $971.

Both Dejesus-Rivera and Ayala-Gonzalez were charged with three counts of third-degree unlawful possession of a controlled substance and second-degree unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Ayala-Gonzalez also had an active misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. Both suspects were transported to the Dunkirk Police Department to be arraigned in Dunkirk Town Court.
