The US Vice President arrived at the DNC in a light brown suit. She introduced herself to the packed congress hall and told the audience that they would be honoring President Joe Biden tonight.

“It's going to be a great week, and I want to start by celebrating our incredible president, Joe Biden, who will speak tonight,” she said, according to the Guardian. “Joe, thank you for your historic leadership, for your lifelong commitment to our nation, and for all that you will continue to do, we are forever grateful. Thank you, Joe!”

Harris concluded her brief speech and left the stage after highlighting the diversity of Democratic Party supporters present in the room.

She said Americans are united by the Democratic Party's shared vision for the country's future.

“This November we will come together and declare with one voice that we move forward as one people,” she affirmed.

“With optimism, hope and faith, guided by our love for our country and knowing that we have so much more in common than what divides us, let us fight for the ideals we hold dear, and let us always remember that when we fight, we win.”

Harris praises Kamala Harris' character and makes fun of Trump

Hillary Clinton praised Harris for her “character, experience and vision to move us forward” and gave a brief glimpse of her presence at the fellowship ceremony tonight.

She said she would uphold Harris's moral integrity during her speech at the convention.

She will speak about her shared past with Harris during the convention, describing the two as “young lawyers who help abused or neglected children.” “This kind of work changes you. These children stay with you. Kamala carries with her the hopes of every child she has protected, every family she has helped, every community she has served.”

Clinton, who lost the 2026 presidential election to Trump, compared Harris and Trump, claiming: “Kamala cares about children, families and America. Donald only cares about himself.”

She recalled Harris's five-word, courageous statement on her first day in court – “Kamala Harris, for the people” – and added: “That is something Donald Trump will never understand.”
