Brian McKnight has problems selling tickets, possibly due to a dispute with his children

Some people should keep their personal issues off social media. When Brian McKnight revealed his personal problems to the world, it seemed to have repercussions on his wallet.

McKnight's recent concerts have struggled with low ticket sales, resulting in cancellations. Ouch.

Here's the thing: McKnight even had to cancel a show in Detroit in June because ticket sales were poor, and an upcoming show in Washington, DC is also seeing abysmal sales. Tickets are now being offered at a discounted price on Groupon. Oh, wow.

It's easy to assume that this drop in ticket sales is allegedly related to a boycott by some fans in response to McKnight's strained relationship with his three eldest children from his first marriage.

McKnight's relationship with his children Briana, Niko and Brian McKnight Jr. has been marked by turmoil in the public eye, especially after he praised his current wife and their children without mentioning his older children in a 2022 social media post mourning the death of his young son.

In the post, which he may regret, McKnight expressed his joy at becoming a parent with his now-wife, saying, “For the very first time in my life, I got to experience what it's like to have a child born of love.” However, these and other statements have been criticized for seemingly overlooking his older children, leading to public backlash.

McKnight defended himself, accusing his ex-wife and children of spreading false representations of their relationship and stressing that his children are now adults and he is no longer financially responsible for them.

As I said, social media is not always a good thing, especially when your audience takes sides.
