Famous actor from the films “Reservoir Dogs” and “Kill Bill” accused of domestic violence

MALIBU, Calif. – Actor Michael Madsen, who starred in several Quentin Tarantino films, was arrested after reportedly getting involved in a physical altercation with his wife.

Deadline reports that Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office officers were called to Madsen's Malibu home just after midnight on Saturday. Madsen, 66, was arrested and charged with domestic violence. He was released on $20,000 bail.

“It was a disagreement between Michael and his wife that we hope will be resolved positively for both of them,” a spokesperson for Madsen said in a statement to Variety.

The sheriff's office told The Hollywood Reporter that the incident remains under investigation.

Madsen has appeared in more than 200 films throughout his career, but is best known for his roles in several Tarantino films. It began with Tarantino's first major production, 1992's Reservoir Dogs, in which Madsen plays the psychotic Mr. Blonde. In perhaps the film's most famous scene, Madsen's character tortures a police officer while dancing to “Stuck in the Middle with You.”

Madsen's numerous collaborations with Tarantino include the two “Kill Bill” films, “The Hateful Eight” and “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood.” His non-Tarantino films include “Thelma & Louise,” “Die Another Day” and “Donnie Brasco.”
