The charges stem from a shooting that occurred on Dunmoreland Street around 5 p.m. on June 29, police said. Police found two gunshot victims at the scene, and a third was privately transported to Mercy Medical Center. Police Chief Lawrence Akers later said the victims included a mother and a young girl.

All of the victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but two homes and five vehicles were also hit by gunfire in the shooting, police said. Investigators later found that one of the victims was also a suspect and was arrested at Baystate Medical Center.

The second arrest in the case came on July 16, when officers charged 29-year-old David Beadle with 17 counts, including three counts of assault with a firearm, police said. Investigators later obtained arrest warrants for Miller and Kamou in connection with the shooting.

The two men were arrested at around 6:15 a.m. on August 15 in separate apartments on Westford Circle, police said. Investigators also seized two high-capacity pistols from Miller's home.
