Joe Rogan confronts Michael Chandler over Conor McGregor scenario – ‘Fight someone and lose your spot’

Conor McGregor may indicate possible dates for his return, although the date has not yet been officially announced. Michael Chandler waited on the sidelines for the Irish superstar, which many thought was unnecessary. Joe Rogan believes that Chandler has every right to wait for this fight, which will undoubtedly be his biggest fight ever.

At the moment, nothing is as uncertain as Conor McGregor’s return to the UFC. Of course, this has Michael Chandler claim that he still has everything worth fighting for even if he doesn't get to face “The Notorious.” The irony is that he's still waiting, and for Joe Rogan, that's the best thing he can do, because moving on from the McGregor fight could be a gamble for the former Bellator champion.

After the end of the UFC 305 PPV, the show showed a small montage of Daniel Hooker's past losses, especially against Michael Chandler. Joe Rogan, who was watching on his 'JRE Companion' show, said: “I wonder if they are trying to [Chandler vs Hooker] because that would be exciting … Maybe he [Chandler] would take that [fight] if he doesn’t get the Conor fight … At some point he has to [move on]”,

Even if Chandler is scheduled to face Conor McGregor, the longtime UFC commentator wouldn't mind seeing him face Dan Hooker, who has been in top form lately. Brendan Schaubone of the guests on the show, talked about the big payday that awaits Michael Chandler. “Waiting for Conor. 'Red Panty Night'” he replied.

For better or worse, Joe Rogan seemed to agree and sympathize with Iron and the situation he is currently in. “It's crazy sitting around and waiting. You can't do anything. You can't take any risks, you go in there, fight someone and lose your spot and then Conor talks shit about you.” added Joe Rogan.

Daniel Cormier claims there is hope for Conor McGregor's return

Daniel Cormier recently evaluated what Dana White had to say, and as far as he's concerned, the UFC CEO may not be too transparent about Conor McGregor's return status. Although he claims that “The Notorious” may not return this year, “DC” believes a big date might require the addition of a big star to the roster. And for McGregor, there's no better date than December. On the “Good Guy/Bad Guy” show, he said: “It is [PPV in December] one of the biggest events of the year, it couldn't be bigger than Conor McGregor and it's taking place in Las Vegas where you normally find Conor McGregor.”

Daniel Cormier also mentioned that sometimes we need to take a closer look at what Dana White is saying when he makes statements like the one about Conor McGregor's return. And after hearing some aspects of his recent comments, “DC” believed that there is a high probability that the Irishman will return at the end of the year against Michael Chandler. Even his statement 'We have to wait and see' shows that there is hope.” added Cormier.

Cormier's argument is not without merit. The last time White announced McGregor's return, he seemed to say the opposite of everything McGregor had said up until the announcement. There were also rumors that McGregor had a falling out with the UFC over his contract situation. But when his return was officially scheduled for UFC 303, everything was fine until the injury derailed his plans. Now all that's left is a suitable date for their fight between McGregor and Chandler.
