Iconic actor from Tarantino films accused of domestic violence after clashing with his wife

Michael Madsen, the actor known for his roles in several Quentin Tarantino films, was recently arrested for domestic violence following an argument with his wife.

The actor was reportedly taken into custody in California shortly after midnight on Saturday following a “disagreement” with his wife DeAnna Madsen.

Law enforcement responded to a call that resulted in Madsen, 66, being booked into the Malibu/Lost Hill Sheriff's Station under California Penal Code 243(e)(1) – Use of Force Against a Cohabitant.

Madsen was released from custody on $20,000 bail. The offense carries a sentence of up to one year in prison.

“This was a disagreement between Michael and his wife that we hope will be resolved positively for both parties,” Madsen's representative said in a statement to Variety.

Madsen has appeared in several Tarantino films, including Reservoir Dogs, where he is best known for his portrayal of the character Mr. Blonde. He has also appeared in the Tarantino-directed films Kill Bill: Volume 1, Kill Bill: Volume 2, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood.

The actor also appeared in the films “Thelma and Louise,” “Donnie Brasco,” “Sin City,” “Wyatt Earp,” “Mulholland Falls,” and “Iguana.”

Madsen married DeAnna in Jamaica in 1996. The couple has two sons, Calvin, 27, and Luke, 18. Their son Hudson Lee died by suicide in 2022, according to People. Madsen also has two sons, Christian and Max, from a previous marriage to Jeannine Bisignano.
