Levy County murder suspect arrested in McDonald's parking lot

WILLISTON, Fla. (WCJB) – An Inglis man has been charged with murder after shooting a man Monday, according to Levy County Sheriff's officials.

Officials charged 30-year-old Brandon Capozzi with first-degree murder for shooting a man following a domestic incident.

A 911 caller reported hearing gunshots outside his home and finding a man with a gunshot wound in his driveway. Witnesses said they heard a motorcycle driving away from the scene.

Investigators identified Capozzi as a murder suspect. Officers worked with Williston police to arrest him in a McDonald's parking lot.

Capozzi reportedly told investigators details that further linked him to the crime and provided evidence of the motive.

The incident remains under investigation. Officials are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Weaver with the Levy County Sheriff's Office at (352)486-5111 ext. 364.
