Flint City Council committee meetings have been cancelled for August 21 due to technical and staffing issues. Finance, Legislative and Government Business committee meetings were scheduled for Wednesday, August 21 at 5 p.m.

The City of Flint has restored some important functions internally, but continues to ask residents to be patient while the billing system is offline.

The city says there will be no late fees or water shutoffs at this time.

“We are not out of the woods yet, but our team is working around the clock and making significant progress in addressing this cyberattack,” said Flint Mayor Sheldon Neeley. “Attacks on our communities, organizations and businesses are becoming more common, but we will fight through it. We thank the public for their patience as we fight back.”

A list of service disruptions will be continuously updated on the city's website as the network disruption progresses.
