Investigation into the Southwest District Shooting

On August 9, 2024, at approximately 6:08 p.m., Southwest District officers responded to a call in the 1100 block of West Lombard Street to investigate a reported discharge of a firearm.

Upon arrival, officers found a 42-year-old woman sitting in a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds to her body. Paramedics took the victim to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Due to the severity of the victim's injuries, this case is being investigated by the Homicide Unit. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Baltimore Police Department's Homicide Unit at 410-396-2100.
