Man charged with arson in Norfolk house fire

LINCOLN, Nebraska (KLKN) – A 30-year-old man was arrested for arson in Norfolk.

According to Norfolk police, the fire was reported shortly after 7:30 a.m. Monday at a home near 12th Street and Phillip Avenue.

After emergency responders extinguished the fire, investigators investigated the cause of the fire and concluded that it was not an accident.

They examined video footage of the area and identified homeless man Austyn Ladd as a suspect.

Ladd was arrested on suspicion of second-degree arson and taken to the Madison County Jail.
