Quincy man in Lewis County Jail after methamphetamine found in car during arrest – Muddy River News

LEWISTOWN, Missouri – A traffic stop near Lewistown led to the arrest of a Quincy, Illinois, man on drug charges.

A deputy with the Lewis County Sheriff's Department conducted a traffic stop on August 10 and noticed that the driver, Cameron J. Coulter, 31, of Quincy, was sweating and shaking. The deputy asked if there was anything illegal in the truck and Coulter stated that there was “meth” in the car. Coulter was arrested and a search of the vehicle uncovered a substance consistent with methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Coulter was arrested and taken to the Lewis County Jail, where he was held for 24 hours. Lewis County Prosecutor Chelsea Fellinger requested a warrant for his arrest. Judge Corey Moon issued a warrant and charged him with possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony.

Coulter remains incarcerated in the Lewis County Jail and no bail is allowed.
