Created by Jimmy McGovern (cracker), the show first aired across the pond in 2010 and was so successful that an American revival seemed inevitable. 6 When is season 2 of Accused coming out?

Many had initially hoped that a Accused Season 2 would appear in Fox’s fall 2023 schedule. But the closer this announcement came, the more hope faded, especially after the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. After a much longer wait than expected, Accused returns Tuesday, October 8 at 8 p.m. ETafter another slight delay due to the live broadcast of a vice presidential debate.

Just like in the first season, Accused Season 2 will officially air on FOX upon arrival and streaming on Hulu the day after its debut. Given the recent trend of canceling television networks, where FOX itself has cancelled shows like Call me Kat And The residentit is refreshing to see a show like Accused given the network's confidence after its initial success. With the need to keep the existing fan base happy, those who took on the task of this adaptation knew that talented hands would be needed to steer the ship. Those talented hands were carefully selected, with people like Julie Hebert (HE), MichaelOffer (Hometown), And Milan Cheylov (Prison break) directed in season 1, and the screenwriters were named among others Howard Gordon (24), Daniel Pearl (American crime history), And Chip Johannessen (Dexter). To maintain some continuity with the original British series, the show's original creator, McGovern, was brought on board as executive producer, alongside people like Alex Gansa (Hometown), Howard Gordon and producer Matt Code (See For Me).
